Fitted furniture and joinery
Blakeney
Blakeney is flint, quay and marsh. Furniture here has to suit thick walls and small rooms.
Cottages along the quay and the houses set back from the marsh often have deep window reveals, low doors and plans that have been altered more than once. Fitted wardrobes and cupboards are made to those limits. Freestanding bookcases and sideboards suit rooms you may not want to line with carcasses.
The portfolio’s Blakeney entry is a traditional farmhouse scullery, listed as a bespoke kitchen. That is kitchen work, so it is not written up as a furniture case study on this site.
The photographs below are workshop pieces: panelling, internal doors and wardrobes. None of them is captioned as a Blakeney house, because the portfolio does not place them there.
Pieces are made at the family workshop and fitted in the house. The sequence is on the process page. Timber on the bench is the European oak, walnut and painted hardwood already described on the services page.
Photographs from the workshop
Captions say when a photograph belongs to a named commission. Otherwise it is an example of the work, not a claim about a house in Blakeney.

Interior wall panelling from the workshop, not a named Blakeney room.

Raised-panel internal doors made in the workshop.

Fitted wardrobes. The portfolio does not tie this photograph to Blakeney.
