Fitted furniture and joinery
Wymondham
Wymondham is the market town on the other end of the same road as the workshop.
Thuxton is six miles north-west of Wymondham, just off the B1135. Site visits are a short drive, which matters when a wardrobe or a bookcase has to be templated against a wall that is not square.
The town has the abbey and the timber-framed and brick houses around the market, and newer homes on the edges. Both need furniture made to the room: alcove shelving in an older house, fitted wardrobes in a bedroom, a freestanding table or sideboard where built-in furniture would be wrong.
No Wymondham commission is named in the portfolio. The photographs are examples from the workshop. They show the sort of fitted furniture, freestanding pieces and joinery we make, not installations we are claiming in the town.
Pieces are made at the family workshop and fitted in the house. The sequence is on the process page. Timber on the bench is the European oak, walnut and painted hardwood already described on the services page.
Photographs from the workshop
Captions say when a photograph belongs to a named commission. Otherwise it is an example of the work, not a claim about a house in Wymondham.

A fitted study desk from the workshop. It is not listed at a Wymondham address.

A hallway bench with storage, made as fitted furniture.

A timber staircase made in the joinery workshop.
